Get Featured

Thanks for your interest in being featured! I'm always looking for some new, fun, unique businesses to write about and feature. But just like anything else, there must be some guidelines on what I'm looking for and what I require.

1. It is preferable that your business is original and not a Franchise or Chain store. (exceptions may apply)

2. It is preferable that your business has been created and owned by yourself and what you sell is made, assembled and/or produced by you. (exceptions may apply)

3. My intent is to blog about businesses that I've personally tried product from and/or experienced services from, as I desire the ability to honestly write about these businesses from a consumers point of view and promote them from my own experiences. I do request that you supply me with a small smattering of your product, so I can use it and/or cook with it and try it out. This mostly applies to businesses involving food, body products and/or services.

4. As Growing Green is getting substantial hits and has also now linked in with the local Newspaper, which publishes all posts through their website, aiding in further reach, my time and writing has become invaluable. I am no longer able to do features for free. I am currently in the process of figuring out costs, so if you are interested in having me feature your business, please email me and we can discuss further.

4. My goal is to get my readers to try your product out and fall in love with it themselves. An incentive is usually (but not always) the best way. I would like to be able to either give my readers some free product from your business, or you can create a PROMOCODE that will only be used on my blog. This PROMOCODE will then entitle my readers to a discount or deal of your discretion, on any product and/or services they wish to purchase, when they use this code.

5. Pictures are worth a 1000 words! When I feature your business I like to use pictures of your product, but also of yourself, so people can feel connected with you. The more pictures the better :)

6. I always like to link websites and/or Facebook pages, or whatever you may use, along with contact info for yourself (email, phone # etc), for readers to check you out. Where are you located, where can you and your product be found (eg. Farmers Market, Store Front etc)? The more contact info you give me, the better.

7. I want to know about you. Your history, your passions, why you started this business, where you hope to go with it in the future. In a sense, I would like your bio. This information can be sent to me via email and I will use this material in your feature. Again, this connects my readers to who you are. In a perfect world I would do this "interview" in person, however, with a wee one at home and other time obligations/job, email is the easiest form of communication at this time.

If being featured on this blog is something you would like to do, please email me at growing.green27@gmail.com. Looking forward to meeting you and writing about your business!
